Guanidine hydrochloride is a chemical compound, specifically a salt of guanidine, widely used as a potent protein denaturant in research and molecular biology. It disrupts the three-dimensional structure of proteins, effectively unfolding them, which is crucial for various applications like protein purification, nucleic acid isolation, and protein refolding studies.

• 01- As a Denaturing Agent
  Guanidine hydrochloride breaks hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions within proteins, causing them to unfold and lose their native structure and function.

• 02- In Protein Purification
  It's used to solubilize and purify proteins by unfolding them, allowing for easier separation from other cellular components.

• 03- In Nucleic Acid Isolation
  It can disrupt cell structures and inactivate enzymes that degrade RNA, making it useful for isolating intact RNA from cells.

• 04- In Protein Refolding
  At lower concentrations, it can help denatured proteins refold back into their functional forms.
